On Oct. 12, activists around the world will stage a series of coordinated protests against the St. Louis-based seed giant Monsanto Co., calling for the permanent boycott of genetically modified organisms.

Critics have taken issue with Monsanto's development of GMO seeds as well as its business practices, while the company has maintained that it stands by its products and respects people's rights to express their opinions on the subject.

The Antelope Valley march will meet at Lancaster city park. Details are available on Facebook, and further information can be found on the March Against Monsanto website.
