AFI's annual film festival showcases new work from emerging and established filmmakers from all across the globe. Programming includes sections devoted to World Cinema, American Independents, Breakthrough, Midnight, Cinema's Legacy and Presentations. In all, the fest will screen 119 films (83 features and 36 shorts) from 43 countries.
The Chinese 6 Theatres will serve as the main hub, with additional events at the nearby Egyptian Theatre, Roosevelt Hotel and TCL Chinese Theatre (including the opening night film, "Saving Mr. Banks").
