Roy Choi, the chef and multicultural mashup artist behind the Kogi truck, Chego, A-Frame and Sunny Spot, joins the Library Foundation's Aloud series to read from and discuss his new book, "L.A. Son: My Life, My City, My Food."

From the Aloud website:

[Choi] pays homage to the city that he loves in this memoir, a tale of his journey from childhood afternoons at his parents' Korean restaurant, to pizza-fueled studying at the Culinary Institute of America, to becoming one of America's most acclaimed chefs.
Choi will be joined in conversation by Evan Kleiman, the host of Good Food on KCRW. He will also appear at Book Soup on Nov. 15 and Skylight Books on Nov. 19.
