MOCA celebrates the iconic postwar artist Mark Rothko's works in its permanent collection as the museum prepares to rotate and conserve the paintings.

On Thursday, Jan. 2, lead gallery educator Bonnie Matthews Porter will present a tour and conversation illuminating Rothko's paintings. On Sunday, Jan. 5, conservator Tanya Thompson and senior curator Alma Ruiz will present a lively exploration of the history, materiality, and viewer experience of the artist's work.
