As part of their dinner series Cooking With Friends, chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo will host the James Beard Award-winning chef Jeff Michaud at Animal Restaurant. The family-style meal will highlight seven recipes handpicked by Shook and Dotolo from the pages of Michaud's new cookbook, "Eating Italy."

Carne salata with red onion, celery and olive oil
Pear and treviso salad with taleggio dressing

2nd
Squash gnocchi with amaretti and mostarda
Fettuccine with braised rabbit and porcini

3rd
Pork shank osso buco with saffron rice crema

4th
Heirloom apple upside-down cake with polenta gelato
Pistachio flan with chocolate sauce
