Tamales are a holiday staple, and this festival showcases the endless variety of the labor-intensive -- but delicious -- dish of of masa stuffed with a sweet or savory filling and steamed in a husk or leaf.

Held at historic Olvera Street, the festival will also feature music, crafts, exhibits, games, cookbooks and a toy giveaway. The festival runs 10 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information, check out the event flyer.
