Tennessee v. John Scopes. California v. O.J. Simpson. New York v. Lenny Bruce. A new exhibition recapitulates the great legal battles of the 20th century. Created by law students, “100 Years of Courtroom Drama: Great American Trials of the 20th Century” looks at 18 cases representing some of the most widely covered and influential litigation of the past century.

This exhibition explores the more experimental tendencies within the Chicano art movement—ones oriented less toward painting and declarative polemical assertion than toward conceptual art, performance, film, photo- and media-based art, and "stealthy" artistic interventions in urban spaces. The exhibition includes approximately 125 works in all media, including painting and sculpture as well as installation, conceptual, video, performance art, and intermedia works that incorporate film, digital, and sound art.

This national traveling show explores the intersection of cowboy culture and presidential politics from Theodore Roosevelt to George W. Bush. The exhibit explains how the presidency became intertwined with the emerging image of a heroic American cowboy at the turn of the twentieth century and will explore the ways that U.S. Presidents have used this powerful iconographic symbol to define themselves and their administrations to the nation and the world.

Ghada Karmi is a research fellow and lecturer at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, University of Exeter. Born in Jerusalem, she was forced to leave as a child in 1948 and grew up in Britain where she became a physician, academic and writer. She will be discussing her new book Married To Another Man: Israel's Dilemma in Palestine.
