Late Summer was recipient of the James Bridges Award for best Director and the Spotlight Award at UCLA. A stirring drama, shot on 35mm film, about a photographer remembering a childhood summer when he stayed with a cousin – and experienced his first gay feelings.

On a snowy Christmas Eve, a young orphan girl has nowhere to go and nothing but the clothes on her back and her basket of matches to keep her from the cold. With each spark of flame from her matches, she relives the love and warmth of Christmas past, when her mother was still alive. A delicately animated retelling of the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale.
