KCEd White Paper
The White Paper has served as the springboard for the initial
thoughts and efforts on the development of KCEd. Of primary
concern is the large population of "informal" caregivers who
lack the resources to properly inform themselves of how to
best prepare children for school.
Dr. Ann Barbour explores the current needs of preschool aged
children and their caregivers as well as the demands and expectations
placed on them for school readiness. She provides insight
on what KCEd must entail in order to best help the "informal"
caregiver and outlines the next steps in the development of
actual KCEd programming.
