Explore L.A.'s Fishy Side For National Seafood Month
Whenever anyone mentions the best or most iconic food in Los Angeles, the first word out of everyone's mouth is always "Mexican." And really, it makes sense. Being situated so near the border will lead to plenty of great cuisine making the trip north. But one of the least mentioned food possibilities here, for whatever reason, is the ample delicious seafood options. Perhaps because it's hard to eat locally when it comes to sea creatures -- the fish tacos, lobster rolls, clam chowder, West Coast salmon, every kind of sushi you'd ever want to eat, etc., probably didn't come from Santa Monica Bay. But that doesn't mean it isn't delicious. So to celebrate National Seafood Month, here's a gallery of the most delectable nautically-based meals in the L.A. area.
