Our 4 Best Cheeseburger Recipes

Today is National Cheeseburger Day! To honor this very solemn occasion, we're sharing four of our favorite cheeseburger recipes from restaurants around L.A. Make one for the holiday -- or, do one better and make them all.

Gorgonzola Burger with Thousand Island and Arugula: This upscale burger from Hollywood's 25 Degrees restaurant has two cheeses, plus bacon, and homemade Thousand Island dressing. Fancy, yet messy.

Cheddar Burger with Dolce Onions and Vinegar Aioli: As with many fancy burger recipes these days, this one from The Churchill calls for arugula. More importantly, there are caramelized onions and from-scratch aioli.

Tallegio Burger with Jalapeno-Pineapple Compote: This burger from The Oaks has made quite a name for itself, and it's not too difficult to whip up yourself, even with that delectable compote.

Cheddar Burger with Bacon and Pickles: A classic from Public Kitchen in the Roosevelt Hotel: great ingredients, very straightforward.
