Cocktail Recipe: Picante de la Casa from Cecconi's/Soho House
This joint effort by the teams at Cecconi's and Soho House (both places most people don't regularly go to) has some heat from the chili pepper garnish as it is -- need it spicier? Just throw that chili chunk in the drink itself. It may not look as elegant, but that's why you're making it at home. Enjoy!
Picante de la Casa
2 oz tequila (they use Cazadores)
1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
¾ oz agave nectar
12 cilantro leaves
¼ inch piece of a Fresno chili pepper
Slightly press the Fresno chili pepper, and hand clap the cilantro leaves, to release the flavor. Add all liquid ingredients starting with lime, agave, and finally the tequila to a shaker. Add ice, shake and strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with top of Fresno chili pepper.
