Cocktail Recipe: The Girl is Dangerous from The Corner Door
This cocktail doesn't necessarily look dangerous -- it's a lovely, frilly shade of pink -- but someone at The Corner Door in Culver City must have had their reasons for naming it as they did. Aperol is made from fruits and herbs, and orgeat from almonds and sugar, so this tastes like an easy drink ... but be careful, she'll trick you. Pair this summer sipper with some roasted tomato and whipped feta bruschetta for a lovely little cocktail party.
The Girl is Dangerous
2 oz Tequila (the restaurant uses Corralejo Reposado)
3/4 oz Aperol
3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Vanilla-infused Orgeat
Shake until chilled and strain over an ice-filled Collins glass. Garnish with an orange wedge & a fresh mint sprig.
