What's a Super Bowl party without dip? NOTHING, that's what. So don't forget to make some. We're liking this salsa de aguacate from La Casita Mexicana in Bell. It's not guacamole, exactly -- it's a little bit unhealthier but just as delicious. Which makes it perfect for a party.
Salsa de Aguacate
2 avocados
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
Lime juice
2 Tbs. Mexican Cream (or sour cream)
Salt and pepper to taste
Canned chipotle chili (optional)
Place avocado and cheese in mixing bowl.
Blend sufficiently until creamy. Add drops of lime juice.
Continue blending. Add cream last, then salt and pepper.
To make the dip a little spicy, add canned chipotle chili, finely chopped, when dip is creamy.
Serve with tortilla chips and fresh veggies.
