Looking to spice up your Thanksgiving side dishes? Well, this jalapeno cornbread from L.A. favorite Loteria Grill will surely do the trick.
3 Cups Cornmeal
3 Cups All Purpose Flour
¾ Cup Sugar
3 Tbsp. Baking Powder
3 Tsp. Salt
3 Cups Milk
⅔ Cup Corn Oil
4 Finely Chopped Jalapeno Peppers
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease an 11 x 17 pan.
Mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
In another bowl, mix eggs, milk and corn oil. Mix this into the flour mixture.
Add the chopped jalapenos.
Pour into greased pan and bake for 25 minutes, or until bread is golden brown.
