Tia Carrere, Kent Faulcon Named Hosts of the 53rd Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration
Actors Tia Carrere and Kent Faulcon were named the the hosts of the 2012 L.A. County Holiday Celebration today. The pair previously hosted last year's festivities, and this year will mark Carrere's fourth turn as the host.
In addition to TV work, the Honolulu-born Carrere is known for her roles in "Lilo & Stitch," "True Lies" and both "Wayne's World" movies, but she's also an accomplished musical performer whose 2009 and 2011 Hawaiian music albums won Grammys.
Faulcon, a classically trained Shakespearean actor, is best known for his role on the TBS series "Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse," but he's has also appeared on "Bones," "24," "CSI Miami" and other shows. He also wrote and directed the 2007 action-drama "Sister's Keeper."
The 53rd Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration will air live on KCET Dec. 24 at 3 p.m. and repeat at 8 p.m. The show will also be streamed live on kcet.org.
