AN ISLAND IN TIME, a 27 min documentary, is a salute to California's pyramids and to the heritage of the state. The mission will be shut down by the state in 2017 if it cannot raise the funds to retrofit its adobe walls for earthquakes. Mission San Antonio de Padua is the third California mission founded by Junipero Serra in 1771. Because of its' location 20 miles from the nearest city, its' view shed is the same as it was 100 years ago... it remains "a unique island in time". This heritage site, as important in history as George Washington's home, should be saved. The story of that mission told through interviews with archeologists on site and art preservationists who continually work restoring statutes, paintings, candlesticks and murals. Children from the 4th grade classes in California also add part of the history.
