The prize-winning investigative reporter-turned-chief-editor is eager to boost show ratings and appease network execs, even at the expense of news value. His disdain for Katrine's journalistic integrity is reflected in his every move.

TV1 anchor. He sees great talent in the journalist, but has no patience for her hardheadedness and preachy ways. The two constantly argue over journalistic standards.
Birgitte's press advisor/speech writer, Katrine's ex-boyfriend. The two strike up less than ethical deals when arranging TV1 interviews with Birgitte.
Express reporter, former TV1 political analyst. Torben fires Hanne, who's a pain in the butt know-it-all, when he learns that she fell off the wagon.
TV1 reporter. Torben seems to prefer Ulrik to Katine, even though he knows in his heart of hearts that she's a far superior reporter.
TV1 editor. Unlike Katrine, Hanne, and Ulrik, his obedient editor never questions any of his decisions in the newsroom.
