A look at the award winning film Arise! which documents the intellectual and spiritual insights that women from around the world bring to solving today's environmental challenges. Mother/daughter filmmakers Lori Joyce, Candace Orlando and Executive Producer Molly Ross on the making of the film and profiles of four outstanding women environmental leaders: Winona La Duke, executive director of Honor the Earth and the White Earth Land Recovery Project she founded at White Earth Reservation in Minnesota; Vandana Shiva, co-director of Navdanya, a movement to protect the diversity of living resources especially native seed based in Dehra Dun, India; Majora Carter, an environmental justice advocate from New York City and founder of Sustainable South Bronx; and environmental health analyst, Dr. Theo Coburn, Founder and President of The Endocrine Disruption Exchange, based in Paonia, Colorado.
