California's Green, Episode #109
2004
Glass, aluminum and paper aren’t the only goods that can be recycled. In this episode, Huell sees “reprocessing” in a whole new light. First, Huell goes to Whittier at the Amazon Environmental Inc. to learn how leftover paint and varnish is recycled for additional use. He then visits a fiber plant in Vernon where he is astounded by the mountains of non-biodegradable material: post-consumer carpet.
