Host Roy Firestone talks with two leading personalities who have helped shape Los Angeles -- internationally-acclaimed mezzo-soprano Suzanna Guzman, and one of the nation's foremost culinary masters, Chef Joachim Splichal. First, Roy gets up -close and personal with Suzanna Guzman, a Los Angeles native and international opera superstar. Hailing from east L.A., Guzman discusses her upbringing in an eclectic family ranging from firefighters to chemists. Roy learns that her music career began in rock-and-roll but unexpectedly led her down a path toward classical opera. Suzanna shares her fondest memories from the opera stage, performing everything from "Carmen" to "The King And I." She also explains her passion for teaching and the importance of music education in schools.

Next, Roy Firestone gives viewers a taste of the robust culinary works of Chef Joachim Splichal. Known as one of the major forces behind the California cuisine revolution, Chef Splichal reveals his first adventure in the kitchen as a child at his family's bakery in Germany. Roy uncovers additional morsels surrounding the menus of Chef Splichal's high-profile clentele, who include Bill Clinton, Prince William, and Late Middleton. Also, Firestone finds out what the chef thinks of his peers, such as Wolfgang Puck, and Gordon Ramsay, and why the Los Angeles dining experience is the best in the country.
