Land of the Lost is a Sid and Marty Krofft science-fiction series for children. Members of the Marshall family -- father Rick, son Will, and younger daughter Holly -- are swept down a mysterious waterfall during a short camping trip. They discover they have entered a "time portal" and take shelter in a cave, collecting tools and food they will need to survive. To their surprise, they encounter dinosaurs, lizard-men, and cave men, as well as a variety of seemingly-advanced technology in the midst of prehistoric geography. Through it all, the three family members focus on finding the portal to return home.
