Matter of Duty: The Continuing War Against PTSD

"A Matter of Duty" tells the stories of Maine soldiers who returned home from the Iraq, Afghanistan, Gulf, and Vietnam wars to face a new, relentless enemy: post-traumatic stress disorder. PTSD is a condition that is not well understood in the state and will therefore have lasting implications. The documentary details the struggles of Kennebec Sheriff Randy Liberty and that of several veterans in his charge at the county jail. Liberty's honesty about his own condition and his efforts to help other veterans reflects the continuing impact of war on the men and women who have served our country.
