Mi-5
Season 1, Episode 5:
It's a media scramble when ex-MP Hampton Wilder (Tom Pigott-Smith) is released from prison, having served a sentence for embezzelment. He is swiftly driven away in a car, accompanied by Danny: Wilder has requested an urgent meeting with MI-5. It is widely "known" that Wilder was involved in illegal arms dealing while in governmnet, and he is extremely disliked, particularly by those in MI-5. Danny learns that his memoirs were stolen in prison, and their release would create a scandal big enough to bring down the government. Hugh Laurie ("House") stars as "Jules", the head of MI-6, and does a delicious turn as the wise-cracking, nihilistic spy chief.
