Rare earth minerals are in our cell phones, our computers, our iPads and much more. Until recently, China was just about the only country in the world mining rare earths. Correspondent Brian Rooney reports that the United States is now reopening a mine in California to compete. Plus, electric cars: will it really be a comeback this time?
