Los Angeles is the billboard capital of the nation, and some are calling it an environmental disaster. In this episode, correspondent Vince Gonzales investigates the issue and why it doesn’t seem to be getting the attention of city leaders. Meanwhile, Sam Hall Kaplan, the former design critic for the Los Angeles Times and an Emmy-award winning former reporter for Fox News, claims that an array of brilliant, blinking billboards will mark L.A. as the creative capital of the world. Plus, correspondent Judy Muller discovers prospectors are still searching for gold in the San Gabriel River, though they have traded the pan for a hydraulic pump, GPS and a sport utility vehicle.
