Continuing the investigation into the handling of sexual misconduct by priests in the Los Angeles Archdiocese: The show?s news team gained access to tapes of a 1996 lecture in which a church official discusses the "L.A. Model," an experimental program that placed abusive priests in desk jobs in the Diocese or helped them find employment throughout the city. Correspondent Vince Gonzales investigates. Next Madeleine Brand, talks with Vince about the news team's ongoing research. They are dissecting thousands of pages of documents recently released by the Archdiocese, which reveal the many Los Angeles churches that housed the abusive priests. Also, Madeleine and Vince discuss a new online search tool being developed by the SoCal Connected web team which tracks where the priests were stationed throughout the city. The new tool will soon be available at www.socalconnected.org.
