Monday @ 7:30PM -- "Russak's Meat"

Join Huell for another downtown hidden gem: Russak's Cured and Smoked Products. the Russak family has been producing the most delicious and succulent meats and cold cuts for over 50 years. Now run by the second generation, the company produces everything from corned beef, pastrami and roast beef to jerky and chili con carne.

Tuesday @ 7:30PM -- "Cow Tongue"

This Huell adventure started as a result of some disparaging on-air remarks about what he quickly discovered is a culinary delicacy for many people: cow tongue. This episode features a visit to Langer's Deli and a taco stand near USC for some first-hand tongue tasting. This episode also features an appearance by the show's editor, Michael Garber, who is quite the tongue aficionado!

Wednesday @ 7:30PM -- "Pastrami"

Huell stops on Alvarado Street at Langer's Deli, which has been slicing up pastrami sandwiches since 1947. Then he visits Johnnie's, a Culver City landmark since 1952 famous for their hot dogs, hamburgers, and of course, their pastrami!

Yes, Spam -- the canned block of pork and ham you thought you had left behind in your childhood is as popular as ever. Join Huell as he attends the 1999 Los Angeles County Fair's "Best Spam Recipe." Friday @ 7:30PM -- "Hot Dog on a Stick"

We get a behind the scenes look at Hot Dog on a Stick. It's off to Santa Monica Beach to the site of the very first Hot Dog on a Stick stand. It all started in 1946 when Dave Barham opened his first stand by Muscle Beach. The company has become a California tradition, with Dave's daughter at the helm.

Saturday @ 5PM -- "Weed Show"

For most gardeners weeds are a real nuisance, but that's not the case for the members of the Historical Society of 29 Palms. Huell visits the 29 Palm's annual Weed Show and gets a close up look at some very special "weeds."

Saturday @ 5:30PM -- "Mulholland Fountain"

We attend the re-dedication of the stunning Mulholland Fountain at the corner of Los Feliz Boulevard and Riverside Drive. Huell meets the Mulholland family and hears some wonderful stories about William Mulholland, who changed the face of L.A.

Huell spends the day on the campus of UCLA and gets a very special tour of the Film and Television Archives. UCLA houses one of the largest archives in the U.S. and we are treated to some of the gems that are hidden away in the massive vaults.

Sunday @ 7:30PM -- "Classic Arts Showcase"

It's the last episode of "California's Gold" ever produced. Huell tours the Glendale office of "Classic Arts Showcase," a free cable TV program comprised of video samples from the worlds of ballet, opera and theater. This program is the vision of philanthropist Lloyd Rigler, who practiced the cost-effective use of resources in order to achieve the greatest good.
