What's a week without the continued adventures of KCET's Golden State-trotting hero, Huell Howser? It's like a summer without sunshine, that's what. Find out where Huell is headed this week..

Monday @ 7:30 p.m. -- "Crookedest Street"

What's the crookedest street in the world? If you said San Francisco's Lombard Street, you might be right. But Huell investigates whether the nearby Vermont Street might be even curvier.

Tuesday @ 7:30 p.m. -- "Busch Gardens"

Disneyland was not the first large-scale amusement park to tempt California tourists. No, in 1906, beer baron Adolphus Busch founded Busch gardens right in Pasadena. It later closed, but it hasn't wholly vanished from the site it once occupied. Huell looks into this lost history.

Wednesday @ 7:30 p.m. -- "Watts Towers"

In a repeat of a brand-new episode that premiered last week, Huell visits a whimsical art monument with a fascinating history. Did you know that the official name of the sculptures, per creator Simon Rodia, was "Nuestro Pueblo" -- "our city"?

See a previous Huell Howser outing to Watts Towers:

Thursday @ 7:30 p.m. -- "Dune Buggy"

Did you now that the dune buggy was born here in Southern California? It was in the form of the 1963 Meyers Manx, an odd-looking vehicle that won car-lovers' hearts and tore up roads. In this episode, Huell reminisces with Brace Meyers, the man who invented the Manx.

Watch a clip of Elvis cruising around 1986-era SoCal:

Friday @ 7:30 p.m. -- "Wart Hog Update"

In 1983, Huell filmed a segment with a baby wart hog born at the L.A. Zoo and named "Little Huell" in honor of the visit. In this episode, Human Huell returns to the zoo visit his one-time acquaintance. Have they grown apart? Find out!
