Where's Huell? (Nov. 14 -20)

Monday - Nov. 14, 7:30pm: Missing San Francisco - The Berkeley, an 1898 steam ferryboat operated for 60 years on San Francisco Bay, and now has a loving home at the San Diego Maritime Museum. Likewise, the organ from the Fox Theatre has a new life entertaining audiences at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood. Join Huell Howser as he retraces the journeys of these two items from their beginnings in San Francisco.

Tuesday - Nov. 15, 7:30pm: Slash X Cafe - Huell pulls off the road in Barstow for a bite to eat at the Slash X Cafe, a favorite of off-roaders who usually pull up on their dirt bikes, quads or trucks.

Wednesday - Nov. 16, 7:30pm: Short Fuse Tour - Join Huell as he gets a special tour from Bill Mann, a.k.a. "Short Fuse" and learns about the Lucerne Valley's rich mining history.

Thursday - Nov. 17, 7:30pm: Polka Restaurant - Who knew that an obscure mini-mall in Glassell Park could serve up such tasty, authentic Polish food? Huell talks to Albert and Katherine Dabrowski at Polka, their warm and welcoming restaurant that dishes up coveted but hard-to-find Eastern European cuisine in Los Angeles.
Friday - Nov. 18, 7:30pm: Water Innovations - Stretching Our Water Supplies - Huell travels to California's Central Valley to see how local farmers and water agencies are conserving water supplies, cleaning up their wastewater and protecting the delta, which is the critical link for California's modern water system. From new computer-driven sensitivity technology that can "see" down six feet into a trees root system to some inventive new approaches to dealing with the disposition of the thousands of acre feet of waste water that drains off the fields on the Westside every year, this adventure is all about new ideas.
Sunday - Nov. 20, 7:30pm: Trees of Mystery - The giant statue of Paul Bunyan greets visitors to this family run road-side attraction that has been open since the 1930's. Join host Huell Howser as he get a tour through some of the most amazing Redwoods in California, but its not just any old walking tour where you stare up at these impossibly tall trees; its a SkyTrail, which is basically a ski lift which gets you at tree-top level giving you an amazing new view.
