“The Euro Debt Crisis and the Impact on Transatlantic Relations” On June 11, 2012 former senator and current chairman of the Atlantic Council, the Honorable Chuck Hagel, presented his views on world issues, events, and the uncertainty Europe’s debt crisis places on America’s future and transatlantic relations. Joined for discussion by His Excellency João Vale de Almeida, Head of Delegation of the Delegation of the European Union Delegation to the United States, the two discussed possible resolution to euro crisis and how the EU and the US could work together. Stella Dawson, U.S. Specialist Economics Editor for Thomson Reuters moderated the debate. This event was held at Jack Morton Auditorium at The George Washington University, and co-sponsored by the Elliot School Institute for International Economic Policy.
