“The Future of US Space Exploration and International Cooperation”
On September 18, 2012 NASA Administrator, Charles F. Bolden, Jr., address a Council audience at the National Press Club on the future of NASA. Administrator Bolden commented on the current goals and objectives of NASA, the challenges it faces, and the relationships NASA has built with space programs throughout the world. Administrator Bolden’s address was followed by an audience question and answer session moderated by Brian Kelly, editor, U.S. News & World Report, in which he fielded questions on the “what if?” question if Curiosity failed, the importance of STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) and STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) education to supporting the mission of NASA and the United States, and his role as administrator.
