50 Years of Nuclear Crisis - From Cuba to Iran
October 2012 marked fifty years since the world held its breath during the days of the Cuban Missile Crisis. That incident ended peacefully, but the past five decades have seen continued nuclear tensions as international organizations worked to reduce and disarm the world’s nuclear arsenal. Dr. Barry Blechman, co-founder of the Stimson Center, and Ambassador Robert Joseph, former Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, discussed the continuing efforts of international organizations and the greatest nuclear threats today. Dr. Susan Koch, former Senior Adviser to Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, served as moderator.
