Author Gail Sheehy asks caregivers to evaluate whether a normal life for the beloved is possible or is it more likely they will continue to decline. If the later, Ms. Sheehy tells "Your Turn to Care" it is critical to begin letting go, allowing the grieving process to start long before the actual death. Here Ms. Sheehy shares her insights about this end-of-caregiving stage, including the value of finding joy in their lives outside of caretaking to make the transition easier.
