In Passages in Caregiving, Gail Sheehy shares all the things she would have done differently during the 17 years she cared for her ill husband. From asking for help from friends and family and professionals, to the value of a palliative care team for end of life comfort and support; she had a lot to learn. Here Ms. Sheehy passes on some of those hard won lessons in hopes of helping other caregivers deal with the myriad of situations that come up in the process of caring for a declining loved one.
