KCET's four times a year screening series is back for Spring! Join us as we preview eight major new films prior to their first run local release as well as a classic James Coburn film on the ninth night. Hosted by nationally recognized film expert Pete Hammond.

The Spring KCET Cinema Series kicks off February 28 at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood. One of films that will screened at the series is Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, staring Ewan McGregor and Kristin Scott Thomas. It is a comedy based on the best-selling novel by Paul Torday. February 28th is our opening night. A film that will be part of our series is Salmon Fishing in The Yemen. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Q&A with Gary Oldman

The KCET Cinema Series hosted a special screening of Tomas Alfredson's adaptation of John le Carré's "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica on December 3rd, 2011. After the screening, Socal Connected's Val Zavala presented Gary Oldman with the KCET Lumiere Award, an award established to recognize excellence in an actor or filmmaker for their outstanding contribution in their discipline.

The actor then joined host Pete Hammond on stage for an intimate Q&A to discuss his film career, the difficulty of playing the role of British spy George Smiley, and more. Listen to the complete Q&A below.
