Movie lovers returned Tuesday evening to the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood for a screening of Alexander Payne's "The Descendants."
About the film:
From the director of the smash-hit Sideways and About Schmidt, Alexander Payne directs this touching drama starring Academy Award winning actor George Clooney as the aristocratic land baron Matt King who learns that his wife will never recover from the coma she is in from a sudden boating accident. He now must reconnect as the sole parent with his two young daughters and contend with the startling knowledge that his wife was having an affair with a man who he was contemplating an important land deal. Set in the beautiful backdrop of Hawaii, with a musical score of traditional Hawaiian music.
After the screening, host Pete Hammond led a Q&A with actors Shailene Woodley, Matthew Lillard, and Judy Greer. Below you can see some pictures taken at the event!
