Departures is KCET's hyper-local web documentary, community engagement tool and digital literacy program about the cultural history of Los Angeles' neighborhoods.

Chinatown Plaza is located in old Chinatown. There are many different types of shops here including some gift shops, a bakery, some restaurants, a bar, and many more. It is a huge attraction for tourists as it presents more of the Chinese culture than the rest of modern Chinatown. The Chinatown Plaza is where I would hang out when I was younger. I interviewed my friend Thomas who talked about Chinatown Plaza's history and relevance in our lives.
