On Saturday, March 31, KCET Departures is celebrating Good Food Day L.A. at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. Presented by Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa and the Los Angeles Food Policy Council, this Day of Service will feature volunteers throughout Los Angeles serving together toward a more healthy, fair and sustainable food system.
To coincide with the events, we invite you to participate in a StoryShare event, to be held at the Los Angeles State Historic Park during the festivities. Take the opportunity to join the conversation on Good Food - share your stories and concerns about food policy, healthy eating, or any thoughts you may have on food. We will be there document it all with our camera crew.
To participate in the the Good Food LA StoryShare, find us at one of two locations on Saturday, March 31:
9-11 a.m.: Urban Semillas Block Party at 3304 Drew St., in Glassell Park.
12-2:30 p.m: Good Food LA Festival at Metabolic Studios under the Spring St. Bridge, adjacent to Los Angeles State Historic Park.
Our team members will be roaming the park grounds -- possibly sampling some "good food" -- looking for anyone with a story to share.
If you want to plan your day in advance, you can schedule a time for your StoryShare via the online form below. Provide your name and contact information, and take a moment to answer the Good Food questions to marinate your thoughts and prepare for your story.
