Laurie Bruier is one of those rare new transplants to Venice. She lived somewhere on the west side, got tired of its "preciousness," packed her bags and moved along with her son and husband to one of the most coveted new streets in the Venice. A social worker, mentor, artist and mother, Lauri Burrier embraces the dichotomies, contradictions and life style of Venice from her vantage point.
