Joshua A. Robinson - Untitled
Standing by the flooded stream,
I look down deep inside.
Dark and lonely did I seem,
And no one seemed to mind.
Hesitating for a while,
Looking deep inside.
On my face the biggest smile,
And no one seemed to mind.
Closed my eyes and counted then,
Days of sorrow undefined.
I held my breath and jumped right in,
And no one seemed to mind.
Joshua A. Robinson shared his poem with Departures in participation with National Poetry Month. Since not included in that project, we showcased his selection in our community poems section. We thank Joshua for his contribution in celebration and understanding of L.A. You are invited to share yours as well.
