Departures is KCET's hyper-local web documentary, community engagement tool and digital literacy program about the cultural history of Los Angeles' neighborhoods.
David Alvarez
David Alvarez, a junior at Venice High School, is an avid bike rider. Every Tuesday night, he and a group of friends ride down the creek on a midnight riders ride called Taco Tuesdays. He does the ride on his fixed gear bike without brakes. He claims it being an adrenaline rush.
