THIS COMPACT ZOO, especially liked by children, features pony rides, train rides, a petting zoo, picnic area, and a merry-go-round. Parking and restrooms are available in the Grant Rea Park.

CAR: Take the Pomona Freeway/Route 60 East. Exit at Garfield Avenue toward Wilcox Avenue. Turn right on Wilcox Avenue. Turn left at Lincoln Avenue. Turn right at Rea Drive.

TRANSIT: Take the 266 Bus and get off at Rosemead and Beverly Boulevard. Head north on Rosemead towards Beverly Boulevard. Turn Left on Beverly and continue until reaching Rea Drive.

Grant Rae Park boasts a sunken baseball diamond, and plaques in the park identify the natural features and wildlife found along the lower Rio Hondo portion of the L.A. River.
