Artichoke, Highland Park-based band
Artichoke is a Highland Park-based band best known for their extensive collection of concept albums. Members of the group include Timothy Sellers (vocals, guitar, etc.), Antonia Romeo (vocals), Steve Collins (theremin), Anna Hollingsworth (accordion), Chris Gonzalez (bass) and Nick Reiter (guitarist). Lead by Sellers, Artichoke has an album for "Bees," "Scientists" and "26 Animals" to name just a few. Recently, Artichoke released their fourth LP, titled "Historic Highland Park," a quirky ode to the history and ways of life in the neighborhood. In addition to performing top songs from their various albums for Departures: Highland Park, the band discusses the importance of place for artist as inspiration and nurture to their talent.
