Charles Fisher, a native Angeleno, works with the Highland Park Heritage Trust (HPHT) as a historic preservation activist. He is one of the foremost historians on Northeast Los Angeles. With his team, Charles has helped stop the demolition of Craftsman and Mission Revival homes in Highland Park, successfully nominated over one-hundred historic-cultural monuments, and participated in the establishment of the largest historic overlay zone (HPOZ) in Los Angeles. In addition, Charles and the HPHT have authored the Highland Park and Garvanza (Images of America) history books.
