Josef Bray-Ali is co-owner of the Flying Pigeon Bicycle Shop and the Bike Oven repair collective in Highland Park. Disadvantaged by Figueroa Street's lack of foot traffic and inspired by a lifetime of cycling, Bray-Ali devotes much of his time to bicycle advocacy and awareness via social media and blogging. His shop also hosts group rides in Highland Park that frequent local shops and restaurants bringing attention to the neighborhood and its social amenities. Josef Bray-Ali's story provides insights regarding transportation reform and business revitalization in Highland Park.
