Oscar Duardo is the co-founder of the Milagro Allegro Community Garden. When he's not serving on the board of directors for the garden, Duardo creates silk-screen prints. As a resident of Highland Park for over 40 years, Oscar and his family have become a compass and lighting rod for the well being of the community, and as such have been involved in numerous campaigns - from bilingual education, to restoration and preservation - for over four decades. Here, Oscar shares his experience in creating the Milagro Alegro community garden and what it has done for the Highland Park neighborhood.
