Richard Ledesma, Los Angeles Police Department Veteran
Richard Ledesma is a Los Angeles Police Department veteran who co-founded The Los Angeles Police Historical Society. More recently his efforts have helped fund and establish Highland Park newest's museum-- the Los Angeles Police Museum-- but his 26 years of service saw the rise and fall the infamous Highland Park gang The Avenues. Ledesma discusses the evolution of gangs from harmless boys' clubs to criminals while providing his own explanation for that shift in "Rise of the Inner City."
