Warren Ontiveros is a resident, farmer and food distributor in Highland Park. He began by converting his backyard into an urban homestead, which developed into a small farm. He also gardens at the Milagro Allegro Community Garden where he can connect with other local farmers and chefs. Members of the Highland Park restaurant community, including Diep Tran from the Good Girl Dinette, have benefited from Ontiveros' locally grown vegetables, fruits, and herbs. Ontiveros discusses his role as a homesteader and the value of homegrown food.
