All I Want for Christmas is...A Good Education For My Kids
by Rubi Fregoso
December 21, 2011 3:00 PM
2011 was a difficult year for everyone in education; students, parents, teachers and administrators. How do all the pieces come together for a child to get the education they need?
As Departures wraps up the end of the year, we reflect and challenge the notions, ideas, and convictions we confronted through this year's projects, and look forward to what next year will bring.
We launched two neighborhood installments. We held StoryShare events. We gave away swag in contests. You shared us your stories, poems, songs.
Departures has been awarded an Arroyo Verde Award by the Arroyo Seco Foundation for our contribution to enhance and preserve the history and culture of the Arroyo Seco.
